Cross-cutting initiative 2 : Living lab

Main objective

Le ZACAM Living-Lab is a experimental collaborative space where different disciplinesHuman and animal health professionals, economic players, public authorities, local authorities, associations and the general public are all working together to develop new, more effective and sustainable solutions. action research projects to develop solutions to environmental and health challenges of the region. This living laboratory focuses on the problems of priority areas by testing and evaluating strategies to improve the quality of life of the local human population, in conjunction with that of animals and ecosystems. This scheme will make it possible to deploy concrete innovations in response to public health issues in the Camargue while taking account of specific local features and the expectations of the various stakeholders.

Description of the work

As the ZACAM works and projects have only just begun (2024), the Living-lab's action research will be built up over time. However, two projects in particular will provide the Livig lab with the opportunity to carry out its first experiments in line with this cross-disciplinary approach:

  • ZOOCAM, in particular through Work Packages (WP) 5 and 6 in the social sciences,
  • and the Salt Trial, with a particularly original theatrical artistic dimension, conducive to new collaborations.
